Danbury Whalers to Appear at Danbury Hospital Children’s Day
Today at the Danbury Ice Arena, Danbury Whalers CEO/Managing General Partner, Herm Sorcher and Andrea Rynn, Director, Public and Government Relations for Danbury Hospital, announced that the Danbury Whalers will be participating in the 19th Annual Children’s Day at Danbury Hospital on May 1st from 10AM to 2PM.
The Whalers will have an interactive event for children and adults at their table. Kids will be able to participate in a hockey and trivia game, plus an instructional lesson from the Danbury Whalers Head Coach, Chris Firriolo. Through their participation kids can win a complimentary Danbury Wahlers Kids Club membership. Adults will have an interest in the festivities as well, with four luxury suite tickets for the winner of the trivia contest.
Children’s Day at Danbury Hospital is a free event corresponding with the 125th anniversary of the hospital, where kids can enjoy demonstrations and tours that are related to Danbury Hospital. A food drive will be held where non-perishable food will be collected for donations. For more information, head to www.danburyhospital.org.

Danbury Whalers Caravan Hits Billy Bean’s with Brass Bonanza Dance Contest
The Danbury Whalers are proud to announce the next event on the Danbury Whalers Fan Caravan will be at Billy Bean’s Café & Pub on 80 White Street in Danbury. The event will be held on Friday, April 30th at 7 – 9 pm. This function will also feature a first ever Danbury Whalers Brass Bonanza Dance Contest.
Fans will be treated to complimentary buffalo wings throughout the evening. In addition, the Whalers will treat you to your first beverage of choice. The event is open to all Whalers fans, please RSVP to danburywhalers@aol.com to confirm your spot.
The Danbury Whalers Brass Bonanza Dance contest will contest of two rounds of dancing to the Brass Bonanza. All participants will dance to the full length version and be judged. The selected finalists will then compete during a rendition of the “Goal Version” of the Brass Bonanza.
